These whole grain sources can help you lose weight while keeping blood sugar levels in check. Refined carbohydrate sources such as white flour, sugar-sweetened beverages, and sweets. These items should be limited because they tend to cause rapid rises in blood sugar levels and can be filled with “empty calories.”
